Tom Cline’s print’s explore the idea of burdens, both through those present in his own life, and those found universally within all humanity. The pieces contain non-objective masses of lines and colors, balanced upon frail supports or filling the upper portions, representing the indescribable weight of burdens. The work intends a sharing of experience, a resonance between the artist’s understanding of this phenomena of burden and that of the viewer’s own.
